The Charleston Chasers are both the most authentic and the most entertaining group performing hot swing music from the roaring twenties and thirties. The band features ten fine musicians and a wealth of vocal talent, all of whom bring to the stage the fun and excitement of the period. The show is overflowing with toe – tapping hits from the golden age of the musicals, including the happy sounds of Fats Waller, Hoagy Carmichael, George Gershwin, Al Bowlly and Al Jolson. The great musical numbers include The Man I Love, Swanee, The Charleston, California Here I Come, Stardust, My Baby Just Cares For Me and many more.
The Charleston Chasers, who are led by percussionist / vocalist Debbie Arthurs, have been described as worthy ambassadors of the music. They have appeared at festivals and theatres around the UK to much acclaim, and are regulars on BBC Radio.
The Charleston Chasers brand of foot tapping, hand clapping, soul stirring, hot swing music promises a very special show.
